Can text messages help teens quit vaping?

In a randomized trial of 1,503 US teens aged 13 to 17, a text program that taught coping skills and gave support left 37.8% vape-free at 7 months, against 28.0% for teens who got check-in texts only (self-reported).
Teens who didn't answer the follow-up were counted as still vaping, so the result leans cautious. There was no evidence that teens who quit switched to cigarettes.
