Last updated: June 26, 2026 · These Terms govern your use of the Unaddicted mobile app ("Unaddicted," "the app"), operated by Athletes Department LLC ("we," "us").
By downloading or using Unaddicted, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the app. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and can form a binding agreement.
Unaddicted is a self-guided tool to help you build or break habits and goals over 30, 60, and 90-day programs, with tracking, streaks, calendar visuals, tools (such as breathing and journaling), reminders, insights, and an optional AI coach. It is a wellness and self-improvement tool.
Unaddicted is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of anything in the app.
If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, do not use the app for help — contact emergency services immediately. Dial your local emergency number, or in the U.S. call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). A free, confidential worldwide directory of crisis lines is available at findahelpline.com.
Recovery from addiction can be medically serious. Some substances require medically supervised withdrawal. Consult a qualified professional before making changes to treatment, medication, or substance use.
The optional AI coach generates responses automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. It is not a therapist, counselor, sponsor, or medical professional, and its output is not professional advice. Use your own judgment and consult a professional where appropriate. AI features are only used if you opt in.
The content you create (check-ins, journal entries, notes, photos) is yours and is stored on your device. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups; because the app is account-less and local-first, we generally cannot recover your data if it is lost. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app.
You agree not to use the app unlawfully, to interfere with or abuse its infrastructure (including the AI proxy), or to attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.
A Social Pact is a private, 1:1 accountability connection between you and one person you personally invite. When you use it, you may share check-in notes, photos, and a fixed set of encouragement reactions with your pact partner. This is user-generated content, and the following terms apply to it:
You must accept these terms before creating or joining a Social Pact. If you do not agree, do not use the Social Pact feature.
Some features may require a one-time purchase or an auto-renewing subscription, sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple account. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices and offerings may change with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
The app, its design, content, and trademarks are owned by Athletes Department LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular result, including any outcome related to your habits, goals, or recovery.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATHLETES DEPARTMENT LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Athletes Department LLC from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app or your violation of these Terms.
We may modify the app or these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your data via Settings → Delete everything. We may suspend or discontinue the app or features.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the courts located in California for any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims resolution.
These Terms are between you and Athletes Department LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, but is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them.
